What This VBA Code Does
If you do any data loading to databases and prepare/clean that data in Excel, you have more than likely run into instances where you need to load zeroes. The below VBA macro is a handy subroutine that will instantly insert the value of 0 into any blank cells within your selection.
'PURPOSE:Add Zero to All Blank Cells within Selection
Dim BlankCells As Range
'Ensure a cell range is selected
If TypeName(Selection) <> "Range" Then Exit Sub
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
'Store all blank cells in variable
On Error Resume Next
Set BlankCells = Selection.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeBlanks)
On Error GoTo 0
'Change the value of all blank cells
If Not BlankCells Is Nothing Then
BlankCells.Value = 0
