Updating To A New Template Version

From time to time there may be new capabilities added to the My Passwords template. In this case, you will be sent a new template file via email. With this new file, you will need to copy over your specific information and icons into the new Excel template. Here are the steps you can take to make this process quick and easy.

Step 1: Remove Default Icons

  1. Inside the new template go to the Icons tab and select one of the logo images with your mouse
  2. Use the keyboard Ctrl + A to select all the icons
  3. Hold down the Ctrl key and click the Red Lock icon (in cell B2) and the Cloud comment (effectively deselecting these objects)
  4. Hit your Delete key to remove the icons

Step 2: Copy Over Your Icons

  1. Inside your old template go to the Icons tab and select one of the logo images with your mouse
  2. Use the keyboard Ctrl + A to select all your icons
  3. Hold down the Ctrl key and click the Red Lock icon (in cell B2) and the Cloud comment (effectively deselecting these objects)
  4. Copy your icons (you can use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C)
  5. Navigate to your new template file and paste your icons into the Icons tab (you can use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V)

Step 3: Copy Over Your Account Data

  1. Check the Turn Off Sheet Protection checkbox in the New Template
  2. Delete the table content in Column B (the icons should disappear too)
  3. Go into your Old Template and copy your account data (columns B:I)
  4. Paste your data into the New Template starting in cell B4
